Emi was part of the first class that graduated from the Harvest Training Center Europe. Before becoming officially involved in the church-planting Mission of Harvest, Emi studied Biblical Studies at the Baptist Institute from Bucharest. He was also serving as the Senior Pastor over a few churches in the Buteni area. It was Harvest’s strong DNA, Vertical mission and friendship with a Pastor from Harvest Metanoia, Arad that originally drew Emi to our ministry in Romania. And after a few key meetings, Emi felt God’s call to establish a vertical church in Buteni. After graduating from the HTC Europe in 2016, he immediately began working in Buteni to cast this vision and will be planting in the near future.
Vertical Church Burbank, CA
Justin grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in an atheist home. Christianity appeared to him to be nothing more than a joke. At the age of 18, God powerfully shattered his empty, sin-loving pursuit of pleasure with the forgiveness and transformation of Christ.
Less than a year after the radical change that took place in his life, Justin left pursuing a career in sports medicine to answer the call of God on his life. His new pursuit was making Christ known in full-time pastoral ministry.
In 1994, he moved to Southern California to attend The Master’s College. He entered the Harvest Training Center with the intent of planting a church on the west coast. A replant church opportunity came to Harvest Bible Fellowship and Pastor Justin joined this group of believers and established Harvest Fountain Hills, AZ on September 14, 2014. Justin is now transitioning from Senior Pastor of Harvest Fountain Hills to plant a new church in Burbank, CA. This new Harvest plant will is called Vertical Church Burbank and will be launching in 2017. Find out more about Vertical Church Burbank by following them on Facebook.

Iosif is an old friend of Adi Rusnac, pastor of Harvest Bucharest; they graduated from the Baptist Institute from Bucharest together. As soon as Adi discovered Harvest, he exposed all his friends and ex-colleagues to the Harvest DNA and church planting. Being an “action man”, Iosif quickly started to search materials about Harvest and joined our Opened Doors event from Harvest Arad in March 2015. Then he came back for the same event the second time, in September 2015. Iosif’s exposure to Harvest came in a season of life when he and his wife Paula, were looking to plant a vertical church in Iasi. After having a successful assessment, he entered and graduated from the first HTC Europe class in 2016. Iosif is how working hard to build his core group and is excited to be planting Harvest Iasi in Romania’s second largest city.

Andrei is a friend and disciple of Cristi Calin, who is the Senior Pastor of Harvest Chisinau, Moldova. They planted a church together in 2005 in a Russian-speaking area in southern Moldova in a city called Comrat. Andrei was the assistant pastor of the church from 2005-2007, and when Cristi Calin left to plant Harvest Chisinau, Andrei became the Senior Pastor of the church from 2007-present. After Cristi moved to Chisinau, they continued to keep in touch. Throughout this time, Cristi shared a lot about his experience with HBF, and Andrei saw how Cristi was part of a church family and how much he grew as a pastor. Andrei realized he wanted to be part of a church family as well to have support and accountability with others instead of serving alone. Andrei then came to Arad and attended the Open Doors conference with his wife, Vera. After this weekend, he was 100% convinced that he was in line with everything that was presented and that he wanted to be a part of the Harvest family and replant his church. He graduated from the first HTC Europe class in 2016 and is in the process of replanting his church.
